Online pokies in Western Australia attract a lot of interest for one simple reason: WA is the only state where you will not find poker machines in the local pub or club. Outside Crown Perth, there are none. So when West Aussies search for pokies, many are really asking whether they can play online, and what the catch is.
This guide answers that honestly for players aged 18 and over, covers the Perth time difference that trips people up with weekly promotions, and explains why Fair Go Casino is our pick. For the national picture, see online pokies Australia.

Can you legally play online pokies in WA?
WA's tough stance on pokies applies to venues. Online casino games are covered nationally by the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and that Act works the same way in Perth as in Sydney: operators are prohibited from offering online pokies to people in Australia, but a person who plays is not committing an offence.
- No online pokies site holds an Australian licence. Fair Go runs under a Curaçao licence.
- ACMA may block offshore casino domains without notice.
- WA's gaming regulators cover Crown Perth and local wagering, not offshore casinos, so there is nobody local to escalate a dispute to.

Why WA has no pub or club pokies
Western Australia made a deliberate choice to keep poker machines out of hotels and clubs. Crown Perth on the Burswood peninsula is the only venue in the state where you can play them. That is a genuine point of difference from every other state and territory, and it has shaped local attitudes: plenty of West Aussies have only played pokies on holiday in the eastern states.
That background is worth remembering online. If you are not used to the pace of a pokie, it is easy to underestimate how quickly a session can move. Starting with small stakes and a fixed budget is the smart way in.
Perth time vs casino time
Perth runs on AWST all year with no daylight saving. That puts you two hours behind Sydney in winter and three hours behind in summer. Fair Go's promotions run on casino time, and if casino time sits ahead of Perth, Monday promotions may open on your Sunday evening and close on your Monday evening.
- Koala Monday (KOALAMO): tiered bonus, all day Monday casino time.
- Fun Monday (FUNMON): 25 free spins on Monday for deposits made Saturday to Monday.
- Fair Draw: runs Friday to Thursday with random bonuses from $50 to $500.
Before you plan a Monday night deposit after work, ask live chat what the casino clock says. The live code list is on our Fair Go bonus codes page.

Withdrawals and the FIFO factor
If you work fly-in fly-out, browser play means you can log in from camp without installing anything. Frequently asked questions
No. Western Australia does not allow poker machines in pubs or clubs. Crown Perth is the only venue in the state with pokies. That is a long-standing state policy and makes WA unique among Australian states and territories.
Playing is not an offence for individuals. The federal Interactive Gambling Act bans operators from offering online casino games to Australians, and WA's own pokies restrictions apply to venues. Offshore sites have no Australian regulator, which is the main risk to weigh up.
Koala Monday runs all day Monday on casino time. Because Perth is two or three hours behind the eastern states depending on the season, the window may not match your local Monday. Confirm current casino time with live chat before depositing.
If you have a data connection, yes. Fair Go runs in your mobile browser on iOS and Android with no app to install. Check your employer's policies on personal device use, and keep your bankroll separate from bills and savings.
